Shellwork VALENTINE

This is a beautiful piece of shell work – called a sailors valentine as they would be bought back for loved ones from foreign parts – many have ships painted in the centre and most were circular so a star shape is perhaps just a little more unusual

This has a hanging fixture on rear, which does not distract from its authenticity.
